India Has Lost Its Extraordinary Leader: Sushma Swaraj
Sushma Swaraj-14 February 1952–6 August 2019: this straight line between birth and death is a hyphened manifestation of our traveling souls. All that remains to be treasured and remembered afterward. A sign of our hasty trip, a path of a meteoric fall. How odd it is that a multitude of the tangled routes of life lay in a straight line. All we have is a line, written and spoken in memory by the end.

Former Foreign Minister of the Union and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj died late in the national capital on Tuesday night. Swaraj, 67, was admitted to the All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the evening following a deterioration in her health situation; she endured a heart attack.
India lost a rare human politician, a sympathetic leader, a real patriot, a trailblazing daughter. She left us in her career with a huge legacy of many firsts. For many wonderful diplomatic wins, and most importantly, for being kind in the teeth and skulls political world, she will be remembered. She was always truly present for her individuals;  served her country beyond the agendas of her party. She followed her heart not the call of duty when she was there for the distressed and stranded of this world at odd hours. Her commitment was greater than any bureaucratic institution. That’s why she appeared so close, that’s why she appeared so accessible. Just behind the screen and a click away on twitter.

Swaraj has many firsts in her career as the Haryana government’s youngest cabinet minister, Delhi’s first female chief minister, and the country’s first female spokesman for any national political party. She was the second female to hold the portfolio after Indira Gandhi, who held the ministry of foreign affairs under her as prime minister for a short time. During her tenure as External Affairs Minister, Swaraj addressed many delicate problems, including relations between Indo-Pak and Sino-India.
Swaraj lived her existence with a moto that mankind arrives first. Strategies are created for individuals, and politics is to serve the country–and not otherwise. The vacuum that is created in her absence in Indian Politics ‘ present greedy inhuman situation is difficult to satisfy until we open our hearts and attempt to listen to the sincere silence that is a direct line between two dates.

At noon, the mortal remains of Sushma Swaraj will be taken to BJP headquarters for party workers and leaders to pay their last respects. At 3 pm, the body will be taken to Lodhi Road Electric Crematorium, where its last rites will be held.
An Iron Lady who for each and every one of us was not only a true patriot but an incredible inspiration.A symbol of women empowerments and leadership.
